Prostitution Suspect Faces Drug Charge
Monday, January 31st, 2011Cynthia Martinez, the University Park resident whose legalwoes included an arrest on prostitution charges last year, was back in jail Wednesday. University Park police arrested Martinez on Monday after stopping her car for a traffic violation as she was driving on Dublin street. Officers also found that her Texas drivers license had expired. Police said they then determined that she had one pill in her possession but did not havea prescription for it.
The drug was marked Adderall and Martinez confirmed that’s what it was, She was taken into custody and arraigned on a single felony drug charge. Police Capt. Leon Holman said that bond was set at $2,000 but that she was transferred to Dallas county Jail because she was unable to post bond.
